"I didn’t like this show as much as the second night. The Dark Star was a wreck. Kept waiting for them to get going…just kind of meh for me. The Gorge has turned into a money grab….went from a Mom and Pop place to a shit show. People getting busted in the lot, Shakedown Street in the next county….probably my last visit to this great venue now that it is ruined. Went to Red Rocks a few weeks later and it was great."

"Screaming out of the Gorge, best venue on the planet. "

"The recording sound so much better than the sound system at the venue, I enjoyed the show but the mix of it is unreal…"

"An amazing set in and amazing setting! Sometime during the first set, before sunset, an owl flew over the crowd and out over the river. It was amazing. "

"INCREDIBLE show! The band brought some funky jams, a much faster energy than second night. This was the best show of the weekend in my opinion. Their tunes seemed to conjure the wind, creating a magical atmosphere that brought life, energy, and dancing to the crowd that endured a 95 degree day at the campground. Mr. Charlie > Tennessee Jed > Dire Wolf brought themes of death, a likely intentional commentary on the recent shooting at the Gorge. The beauty of Bird Song and When I Paint My Masterpiece seemed like poetic justice to the jaw dropping venue. Estimated Prophet and Scarlet Begonias were well welcomed by the crowd and energy reverberated between the band and the audience. Dark Star was introduced as the sky turned dark and brought a dark mystic to the venue. The crying guitar paired with Mickey's "the beam" conjured wind spirits and provoked awe. Drums was out of this world ranging from tribal driving rhythms to psychedelic chaos followed by a tear inducing, blues-inspired jam ballad in Space. With audience members still picking up the pieces of their shattered egos, Dead and Co brought us back with a groovy Cumberland Blues. Bobby screamed with every fiber (and every neck vain) of his being in Black Peter. And Black Muddy River was a terrific close to an already amazing set list. Best concert I've been to by a ways. "

"One of the best dead and co shows I have ever been to. Ever note every second had me over the moon. The music the venue the people. The first set was everything I could’ve wished for plus more 10 fold. "

"Could easily be one of the best Scarlet Begonias ever"

"Awesome night and amazing setlist. The wind picked up early into the first set and it created beautiful weather for beautiful music. The band sounded great and jammed a lot. They fed the energy of the night. I loved hearing several Workingman's Dead songs. "

"From top to bottom, Matt loaded this one up with the blues and the boys delivered. A soulful performance with many highlights including MNS, Mr Charlie, Bird Song, Sugaree, Estimated, and Black Peter. Whatever you do, do not miss the Scarlet. I knew without asking she was into THE BLUES"

"Wow. What a special and incredibly beautiful Sonic journey. To see this band live at the Gorge was life changing and surreal at the same time. Seeing Mayer and Weir work their magic in an energy that I was ready to say I had my Dead experience and half of them weren't that great. Did cutting Billy K change the dynamics and energy? It was fun to watch and hear this energy on stage again. Wow. Thank you for this. Xoxo "

"I love the Workingman’s Dead clip after Space… And Dire Wolf is always a celebration of rarity. Another solid mix of songs that span the catalogue… No Stone is left unturned!!"
