"First Dead show and did not disappoint. I've gone extensively through their catalog, and some of the songs they played last night on the 13th were beyond description. Highlights for me was the 20+ minute St Stephen opener, Dark star, uncle John's band, and oh man space/drums were hypnotic. Some funny "had to be there moments" were Bob's super rad sunglasses, "but I Try" at the end of Crazy fingers, and Mickey licking the strings (if you know, you know). "

"Well Bill rose from the dead. Bob sounds better than he has in years musically. And vocally. John finally ate the little stamps people kept giving him and found his groove and the now band is just jamming and you love to fuckin see it no matter how “slow” it is. I’m thinking they finally cracked the recipe. Hopefully this isn’t actually the last because they will have earned a victory lap for sure. "
