"Life changing"

Warner MC 6/10/2024 7:32:31 PM

"China->Rider was absolutely amazing. I’m pretty sure that Mickey made me poop myself a little bit during the deep bass Beam segment of Space. Also, they turned Mickey into a Vulcan (I think?) On the video screen, and I still have nightmares about that. "

"A year post my last Dead meeting. This was my second time in Atlanta and I LOVE THE SOUND! I fell in love with this incarnation of the Dead June 29 2019 in Atlanta. Charlotte tends to be a little taxing on my nerves, Atlanta is that refreshing evening spent with (at this point I HOPE SO) seasoned trip guides. Everything. Everything. All this show. There was some Bob holding space for John in TLEO and Althea...ALLL THE YESS! I LOVE the CHURCH vibe. Teamwork I'd sooooo inspiring. Can't wait, but I shall, to reunite in the Sister Carolinas and Lady Georgia. With less baggage "

"I specifically remember when they were getting ready to start the second set, and as soon as I heard the beginning of Playing In The Band I had a spiritual experience. Incredible show."

"No 2022 tour dates I can make - thank goodness for nugs.net reliving this show - incredible jams - took me back. Will grab some live streams here and there and wait on a miracle. "

Chip 4/27/2022 1:12:38 PM

"Best China/rider they have done bar none. I was at the show and Bobby was giving John those looks like he use to give Jerry. Like “Where the hell are you going with this?”"

Eugene Pawlak 1/17/2022 5:24:08 PM

"This was my first show and all I can say is that Bobby and the boys blew me away. This was an incredible experience and the jams were outstanding ?????"

Scotland 11/16/2021 1:19:38 PM

"I'm not sure if it's everyone or just me but certain songs won't play for me on the app from this show. Any suggestions? It sucks not being able to hear The wheel"

ZoSo-Tommy 10/27/2021 10:43:18 AM

"So this was a big deal for me, was bummed about the FL shows and had to go about this mission in the rain solo, however once I got onto the lot and into the show i was with family. That TLEO was nothing short of epic. Bobby and the boys were jamin so hard, there was no room left for an encore. NFA?????"

Warner MC 10/15/2021 3:57:56 PM

"First live show in over 3 years. Felt good to be back. Decent show. I think Mickey’s BlasterBeam is so deep and loud that it’s screwing with the EQ from the rest of the show, however. The volume seems pretty low. "

"Outstanding Effort and Show"

"to fall tour*"

Dagobrah 10/15/2021 4:21:00 AM

"weak second set…worst I’ve seen by them, only seven times, but something was off besides drums which was actually one of the best I’ve seen….John has been all about the first set all summer and that seems to have carried over not fall tour….feels like he wants to try different songs in set two rather than the usual set two fare"

phan_for_jamz 10/14/2021 10:53:22 PM

"This was my first Dead show in any of their formations and it was absolutely incredible. I've seen Phish 17 or 18 times and this show was right there with the North Charleston show I was in the pit for when they debuted Petrichor, which is probably my favorite phish show i've been to. If I had a time machine to go to one place in history, it would be to see follow Jerry and the gang for entire tour, then I'd go tell my younger self all of the back to the future 2 type advice. Never listened to John Mayer before but Bob Weir is the bee's knees; I am completely hooked now on The Dead. Spent four hours last night reading all the related wikipedias I could find and was late to work today... boss was actually cool with it since he is a "retired" Dead fan (I still have to make up the hours though). Will absolutely be seeing them again as soon as possible. Maybe I had too much too fast..."

"Great show!!!! Finally got into the lot and into the lawn during Ramble. Found a spot to post for the show, and wow what a show. The China Cat > Rider was incredible! There was a screen above the stage…it had these really trippy visuals that seemed to morph into animals…a frog morphed into a mouse that morphed into a lion that morphed into a snake that morphed into John Mayer’s shirt that morphed into a 3D sphere….but they were all looking right at you, but in friendly and kind ways. Listen to the crowd erupt and shake the ground as the whole amphitheatre in unison wished to be a headlight on that northbound train during Rider! They had this crazy light that made it feel like a train coming right at you at the same time. I really loved the way they used the screens to make it look like the wall of sound was behind them! There are rumors that show was planned to have US Blues as an encore…unfortunately that didn’t happen because of the time…the venue is in a residential area and had a noise ordinance, so there was a hard end a couple of minutes past 11pm. Even though there was no encore, the band played their hearts out!!! I loved every minute."

Soulful Girl 10/13/2021 5:10:51 PM

"From takeoff to landing the Band was fantastic. Setlist filled the place with dancing and smiles. Jeff MVP last night. Bobby is on fire this tour snd i am so grateful to experience this magic for 33 years ! ??"

Garrett 10/13/2021 10:29:38 AM

"my first Dead show, cool environment and great music, was slower than I expected even though I’ve listened to a good bit of d"

Rambleonbose 10/13/2021 9:48:25 AM

"Great, awesome 1st set - they brought it. Thunderous renditions of Cold Rain and Ramble On Rose. Uptempo TLE. Excruciatingly beautiful High Time and a smoking’ hot Deal… As good as it gets. But the 2nd set ??? From my perspective something was going on - not sure what but it seemed to start with the intro to IKYR. Fortunately Jeff Chimenti - “The Jeff Chimenti Rescue Unit” - stepped in and saved the day. He deserves MVP honors for 10/12/21. Seemed like John tried to revive the listless Wheel, but his attempt to “up the tempo,” was futile. Kudos for “trying a little bit harder” John. Unfortunately the rest of the band seemed unable to “give a little bit more…” Jeff had already given everything he had, and I sense he knew it was unsalvageable… One more stand-out performance. Mickey Hart took everyone - that stayed for Drums/Space - on an incredible primal and psychedelic journey courtesy of his Beam. He plucked, scraped and violently pounded out low frequency tones and harmonics that produced “core riveting” levels of vibrational energy. I can still hear and feel it. Thanks Mickey! Wish the Cellairis “time Czars” would have let the boys play just one encore. Come on man… Keep pushing the tempo and don’t get bored John! "

SLIM RYDER 10/13/2021 8:27:16 AM

"They love each other better than the Deer Creek show. Hope this ride continues into next year and we get another summer tour. "

Amy Moore powers 10/13/2021 7:57:35 AM

"Thanks for healing my soul. Excellent show!"

Dan 10/13/2021 7:45:01 AM

"I agree with the reviewer above. These shows are smoking; except I wish they would put some more Bobby songs in the rotation (I.e., Black Throated Wind, Music Never Stopped., etc). It’s nice hearing Bobby sing some songs like Ramble On Rose and China Cat, but I’d love to hear them bust out Picasso Moon, or dare I say Victim or the Crime?! "

Scotty 10/13/2021 6:56:58 AM

"Love the shows...not a hater, just wish they added a few more songs to the rotation "

Benny Tha Kang 10/13/2021 5:10:48 AM

"Amazing show. Boys are really on fire. I remember Nugs before the haters found the comment section. Get some LOVE in your life, lil babies. Love is the Law, Love under Will."

MrCharley 10/13/2021 4:30:34 AM

"Awesome set. Grate music unlike the mediocre vanilla sounds of billy strings "bluegrass music " ."

Fabi 10/13/2021 12:52:44 AM

"Best They Love Each Other so far! "

Bob7 10/13/2021 12:13:04 AM

"I was at the show tonight on some of owsley’s finest and that deal jam was something else. Chimenti was crazy all night he made me smile. The Playin’ reprise at the end of the second set really did me in. Very sad there was no encore "

Frank 10/12/2021 11:45:19 PM

"This show was in incredible. Where was the encore tho :("

SarcasticusFinch 10/12/2021 9:36:07 PM

"Just. Thank you."
