"I’ve been to 20 dead and co shows, I’ve seen them every year they have existed- and this one was a stand out for for me. Every year they have seemed to get better. What the notes don’t tell you: this show had a COVID precheck line, to be able to access the entry line. While everyone was lining up for the pre check line- a huge storm came through- they told everyone to go back to their cars and check the venue app to find out when it was safe again to come out to line up. This is why the first set was short, the second long, and no encore. That’s the back story. This was the first show of the tour and taking all of that into account they murdered it. One of the best shows Dead related or otherwise I have ever seen. The Death has no Mercy by itself makes it- if you can only pick one song. Which they just added to their lineup bc of the long strange trip soundtrack. "

"The energy was palpable, both on stage and in the audience. Like a dam released. And what a set list! The interplay between Mayer and Chementi made me want these guys to go straight into a recording studio. "

"What a great return to live music. So happy to be back with my real family. Death Don’t Have No Mercy was a perfect way to leave this pandemic behind us. Carry us to towards the light Bobby!"

"They started and ended the first leg with Touch of Grey! Everything else in between was pretty much glorious. Can’t wait for Fla. "

"There was a late start, but I was so grateful to be there! So wonderful to see faces and hear what I needed. Help/Slipknot/Franklin's Tower was the best!"

"THIS show would have been ENOUGH. Absolutely delicious at every turn. Deeply subtle, chewy ear and mind candy, life changing, the best of the best. Just, THANK YOU. Wow. "

"Some of the best tone and funk on a guitar I’ve ever heard on Shakedown Street. Brown Eyed Women got the crowd going while Franklins Tower had crazy energy to it as well. Can’t complain about first Death Have No Mercy in years as well. Great show!"

"Deal fucks "
Cole — 8/19/2021 1:41:01 PM
"Great show besides snails pace speedway and 20 min slow playin in the band. Deal was the major highlight. Too bad UJB encore was cut for time"

"Seems like they played it Safe. Definitely need to work some kinks out but that can be expected after 2 years of not preforming. Great to see the boys back. I think John shouldn’t play the silver sky, while it’s a great guitar it doesn’t fit the music IMO. "
Lennyb87 — 8/19/2021 3:37:46 AM
"Slipknot was unlistenable. Plodding, repetitive riffs. "
Mike — 8/19/2021 3:13:01 AM
"Just no denying that John and in fact the whole band has come a long way. While I don’t totally dig his voice (for dead tunes)this band gets it goin hot…Nice .just f’nnice"

"Excellent start to finish. Mayer slayed, Bob had energy, will be back for Charlotte. Help on the way, slipknot, franklins tower was the highlight for me. "
Phan_Halen — 8/18/2021 3:11:40 PM

"Always start a new tour slowing it down so band members immerse themselves into the music."
Sean Reardon — 8/18/2021 12:56:05 PM
"It was a long long long crazy night "
Shureem33 — 8/18/2021 12:24:01 PM
"Really felt like Jon was pushin into new territory during playin. The band as a whole was a little more exploratory it felt like. Hope we get more of this! P.S. to everyone coming in the comments just to hate. If you don’t like then don’t listen, let us who dig it enjoy the music "
ATL~ — 8/18/2021 11:52:01 AM
"??????"
. Jonathan S — 8/18/2021 11:46:14 AM
"Seriously slow, I just can’t get into it. What gives? After what we saw, at Red Rocks, we know for certain it isn’t Billy dragging has feet. It has to be one of two things; either Bob can’t keep up, anymore, or Mayer just isn’t ever going to be up to speed. We can all name a dozen guitar players that are more suited for the job. This gig is about scenesters paying for vibes, not music, and the band seems perfectly happy to cash in. "
Mark Headtke — 8/18/2021 10:20:36 AM
"Mayer was on fire! Great show!"
Lost Sailor — 8/17/2021 11:43:04 PM
"Great show. The boys brought new flavors out for almost every song. Death Don't Have No Mercy was a sweet debut. Their tone sounds better than 2019. Excited to see how this tour evolves. "
