Pink Pony Club by Chappell Roan feat. Sophie Elvgren on vocals
Let ‘Em In by Wings
“I’m covered in cream!”
Week 2 of the 4th annual Lovers tour in Charlottesville, VA. This week’s theme “Whipped Cream and Wine.” Fittingly, the band walked out to Herb Albert’s “Whipped Cream.”
Comically extended “Becca’s Dad” intro which became the theme for the solo too. Funny stuff.
“Expiration Date” latest arrangement features jake solo going into final verse with high energy
Brian throws Bow Ties into the audience before “Sweet and Clean.” Louis forgot the lyrics to the second verse so they jam it out a bit to stall.
Cool lil breakdown jam in “Shanti.” Ben deserved a special treat for his guitar solo. He was whipped creamed in the mouth.
“Snow Day” played in honor of the forecasted snow. Louis deserved a treat on that one and got whipped creamed in the mouth. So was Wade for being a good audience member.
“Marty” with vocal jam. Intense sax solo. What this? This is a saxophone! Jake deserved a treat after that one and was whipped creamed in the mouth. Right into “Sojourn.” Jake started solo with last lick of chorus Ben played, real tasty. Ben does patina to thing. Goes back to Marty.
Sophie Elvgren joins the band on vocals renditions of Big Thief’s “Vampire Empire” and Chappell Roan’s “Pink Pony Club” She did such a good job they she deserved a treat and was whipped creamed in the mouth
Excusezmoi drum solo merits Ryan getting whipped creamed in the mouth. Then the audience gets creamed over a nice improvised Bossa tune aptly titled “Get Creamed”
“Let Em In’” still the latest single from the band. Thanks Paul. “Mister Funky Daddy” is one of the guys in the song. And it’s Jeff.
“Cheddar” rips. Louis instructs audience to bring pocketfuls of loose sand for Surf and Turf next week
