"Went down to Independence from MN with high hopes for a great pair of shows. We made it to the gig to find the band in good spirits. Their playing was, as always, virtuosic. But, as others mentioned, the Psycho second set opener was special. It went into a great Thunder which was followed a couple tunes later by a hauntingly beautiful Home. I haven’t even mentioned a bluegrass tune yet or Billy S. on banjo and Jarrod on guitar for Cold Frosty Morn. That Slow Train was anything but slow tempo-wise. Wow! A heartfelt tip of the hat to Billy F. for that So Many Miles. I could go on and on. Such great music and musicianship. And then we had Billy doing everything from his fun, goofy hillbilly jig and head banging hair twirling to the bump and grind. What fun for my wife and me. Being at the show brought us great happiness."
