"The evening featured two sets. The highlight of the show was its vibe: people were quiet and respectful, and the musicians were loose, warm and talkative (even Steve). What a way to Start.... and it continued on and on.... and I personally could not have dreamed up better song selections for their run! I'll be honest with you all and say, I can never get enough Kimock in my life. http://kimocklist.net "

"How do you get the 3/7 and 3/8 for free? I got a post card from a show I went to that said they were available free. What is the deal?"
kataractkid — 4/5/2009 8:06:59 PM

"Thanks for the free downloads. I had previously sent no less than 3 emails to some toolbox running another website, who shall remain nameless, to purchase CD's from him with no response; except i received notifications that he read my emails. I guess my business and my money just were not important to him...Sorry Chopper"

"Free shows?! What a nice present for spring. I can't wait to see the Crazy Engine here in Oregon in a few weeks. I do have an interesting question...does anyone else's downloads have random Dead clips inter-dispersed throughout each track? When these "clips" come up, the song skips to the next track...weird! Or should I just re-download? "

"I love Kimock. I love Seals. JMK has never sounded so good. I love the backup singers and I love the songs. One helluva debut. I can't believe how tight they sound for a debut."

"Steve, Thanks for doing these NORVA after shows. What a great release after the phish shows. And what a breath of freshness you and your new band put into your music. The new bass player Janis kicks serious butt, and playing with John tightens up the rhythm sections so much. You looked so happy to be tearing that room up. Really enjoyed myself. ANd thanks for making these downloads available for free. What a kind gesture!!! It was my birthday. Much obliged! "

"1st a big thank you to Steve Kimock and his team for offering up these downloads for free! The recordings sound fantastic. This is a smoking show from the start. Amazing that this is this band's 1st public gig (!!) They sound tight, rehearsed and focused. Looking forward to seeing them when they get to California. Steve sounds inspired throughout, JMK is solid/funky/smooth the entire gig, Melvin keeps pushing himself and Steve like the many times I've seen them play together. They have such a great vibe together. Great listening going on in here. This was the 1st time I had heard Janis play and she fits perfectly. Solid, funky, in the pocket throughout, like she's been playing this music for years! Between her & JMK this is a sick rhythm section. The female singers sounded great. A very JGB/gospel vibe which is welcome and I personally loved their additions to You're the One. Freshens up that tune while still leaving tons of room for the jams. Highlights from my 1st time listening to the show were the smoking You're the One, Ice Cream, TWLMYD > Footprints (yum!) & the entire second set. Download this for free and soak up the powerful positive vibes this group is giving to the world. It is much needed and much appreciated. Peace."
