Beautiful night in a quaint theater on the shore of Lake Geneva, with Switzerland visible in the distance. Very mixed crowd in terms of demographics, so a varied and restrained set. Maz and Mark start the evening off with solos on Kite. Bent Nails is slow and funky. Bill and Cory trade on the outro and the band goes old-school. Bullock plays on Outlier. Mark sets up Flood and the solo section gets funky under Justin’s synth solo. Sput and Nate bounce off of each other and take it home. Bill intros 34 Klezma on the rubber Roli Seaboard keyboard and Maz takes the solo on trumpet. Justin picks up the horn for Young Stuff and Cory takes the outro solo with a harmonic departure. Ready Wednesday is slow and goes quasi-Caribbean. The band encores with Thing of Gold for the first time ever. Quarter Master is straight down the middle. Michael takes the solo on bass and the horns take it out with the tune’s hymn.
