Show Notes

Three songs from 2020’s Letter To You: “Letter To You,” “Last Man Standing,” and “I’ll See You in My Dreams”.

“Last Man Standing” features a new arrangement.

“I’ll See You In My Dreams” is performed solo acoustic to end the show.

One song from 2022’s Only the Strong Survive: “Nightshift” (written by Franne Golde, Dennis Lambert and Walter Orange, popularized by The Commodores).

Concert stalwarts like “Because The Night,” “Dancing in the Dark,” and “Tenth Avenue Freeze-Out” are performed in tighter, shorter versions.

“Thunder Road” is the main-set closer.

"This was joyful defiance : when a band believes it has an existential mission … sometimes the message of no surrender in the face of dark forces resonates even better . It was joyful . It was reassuring. It felt like a safe space from worldly chaos amongst family . Bruce Springsteen and the E street Band…. Ottawa …. Delivered us from nowhere with a tight jubilant 3 hour celebration of truth , of ideals and perseverance. First saw Bruce in November 1978 in Toronto … 46 years later … we have all evolved …. Together … He’s still standing alright …. At the top of his game ."
