"Both of the Toronto shows are good performances, but the sound quality kind of sucks. Look to the later shows for significant improvements. Both NY shows are pretty good sound, as well as the Universal shows."

"When are CDs for the Massey Hall shows going to begin shipping? My credit card has already been charged, but I have yet to receive any kind of contact from the site."

"After the reupload, this concert is down... I'm unable to re-download and my time is running out."

"there's still two of the tracks on the here that aren't correct after all . "Everybody Come Clap Your Hands" is included as part of "Roctopus" and part of "Everything is Beautiful" is included with "We Only Come Out At Night". after all the fixes they had to do on this one, I had given up complaining, but come on guys, get this damn thing right. SERIOUSLY!! fix it and give us another download."

"Hi folks, thanks for your patience with the speed bumps getting this program off the ground. SP's engineers have re-edited this show and we reposted it this morning in its entirety. If you need help re-downloading, please contact Customer Service. The hard drives for the next few shows are already in the studio being mixed and we expect to have them up in the next few days."

"we're still waiting on the remaster of Disc #1-should be soon."

"If anyone was wondering, they fixed the transition between Set The Controls and We Only Come Out At Night. "

"please remix billy corgan's vocals so it sounds like he is wearing a hat. only then can i justify spending the money for the concert audio"
Rafael — 11/12/2008 11:59:14 AM
"So has anyone checked if the transition is finally corrected? I'm unable to download ATM... hope someone gives us the heads up."

"You're right on there Steve. I bought The Police's 'Certifiable' last night and was absolutely floored by the sound. 2CD's AND 2DVD's for $19.99 and worth every cent. There have been technical problems with all three of these shows the Pumpkins have released so far. That's my main issue, but the mixing does leave something to be desired. Consider the fact that Metallica has their shows for $12.95 and posted in many cases within 24 hours of the performance and they sound awesome in comparison. Widespread Panic is running a very close second and their pricing is $15.95 for three discs worth of material. The Pumpkins might want to consider finding someone else to mix and master their recordings if they want to justify that $17.95."
Steve — 11/12/2008 10:51:45 AM
"Yes, we are complaining. $18 is a lot to pay for something that sounds like a mediocre bootleg at best. I bought the new live Police release today... 2 dvd's and 2 cd's for $20 and it sounds perfect. Why should I not expect the same from these releases that cost $2 less than what I paid for the Police release? If they cost $8... fine... I can deal with the quality, but not for $18. For this price, it had better sound awesome. Frankly, this show does not. Has anyone who bought this one tried the other 2? Are they the same quality? I was hoping to buy a few of these shows, but not if they sound like they were recorded under someones jacket."

"please edit out the sound of the crowd cheering and replace it with the sound of farm animals, then call the download "smashing pumpkins play inside a barn". can you also edit jeff's guitar so it sounds like it is made of jello. only then i can justify spending money."
KenMurphy — 11/12/2008 10:11:53 AM
"This show is sounding great, but I was one of the first to download it and my version has all the mistakes being talked about. Will we be given a download link to the new fixed version once it is available? Thanks, Ken M"
pintosack — 11/12/2008 9:57:46 AM
"I want to purchase this show, but will wait until all the problems are fixed. Keep posting updates so people can know when it's all resolved."

"you know you're right, you are so hard done by. damn the pumpkins for three seconds of distortion. "
hummer — 11/12/2008 7:19:12 AM
"And we will keep complaining until they get this right. When you pay $17.95 for a concert recording, it damn well better be PERFECT. You'd think that a band with a song named "Perfect" would agree. XYU28, you shouldn't have to waste valuable time editing two files to make it sound like it's supposed to. I could do that as well, but you know what, I'm going to make them get it right so I don't have to. It is the sound engineer's job to correct this issue, and I think we'll see it happen later today. He thought he had it right, but missed fixing "G.L.O.W.", and then tried fixing just that file which screwed up the transition between tracks. A complete remaster of the first disc is going to be necessary to correct it. Thank god customer service says that they will not allow them to post anymore shows without checking them for problems beforehand. "

"you people complain a lot."
XYU28 — 11/11/2008 10:17:59 PM
""The transition between "Tarantula" and "G.L.O.W." is not smooth like it was before. They fix one thing and mess something else up." I know what you mean. I just spent two hours editing the files to get the transition right. They need to be more careful considering people are paying good money for these."
hummer — 11/11/2008 9:56:55 PM
""I'm a little disappointed and frustrated, but after a few fixes it appears all the songs are now PERFECT." Not so fast, there, unfortunately there is STILL a problem. The transition between "Tarantula" and "G.L.O.W." is not smooth like it was before. They fix one thing and mess something else up. My god-how hard can it be. They just need to start over and remaster Disc #1 in its entirety. I'm not going to be satisfied until they get this damn thing right and if not, they can just refund my money and be done with it. This is really turning out to be a nightmare."

"I'm a little disappointed and frustrated, but after a few fixes it appears all the songs are now PERFECT. Hopefully they can catch these problems before they post the sohws next time. But now I AM VERY HAPPY!!! To my ear the recording quality is amazing. And Billy is sounding as good as ever. Thank you for coming to Toronto."
RS — 11/11/2008 4:28:45 PM
"ha ha, if you turn it up at the end of "United States", when Billy's introducing the band, you can hear some guy in the audience shout "Where's Iha?""
Rafael Coelho — 11/11/2008 11:57:23 AM
"Not quiet perfect yet... the transition from Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Sun to We Only Come Out At Night is wrong."

"Well, how about sending an email to those of us who purchased it with a notification and new download link???"

"They just fixed the problems in Roctopus and G.L.O.W! Now the show is flawless :)"

"Steve wrote: "Pearl Jam's official releases were excellent and cheaper." You are correct, but they did it on their own and not through nugs.net. However, some fine examples of other bands that are part of the network and offer CHEAPER and BETTER sounding recordings are Widespread Panic (three discs of excellent quality FLAC for $15.95!), Counting Crows (FLAC for $12.95), The Black Crowes (great sounding FLAC for $14.95) and Metallica with their fantastic sounding FLAC's at an astounding $12.95 and usually posted within 48 hours of the show. Let's hope SP get's their act together, because this is indeed a godsend for us rabid fans. I'm looking forward to some nice archival releases too, that will hopefully sound better than those 2000 tour radio shows Steve mentioned. For $17.95 a pop for the FLAC's we should be getting nothing less than perfection."
hummer — 11/11/2008 7:57:59 AM
"I purchased the Toronto 11/3 show in FLAC format last night and am just now getting a chance to listen to it closely. There are problems with Disc #1, Track #1 (goes silent from 4:29-4:41) and Disc #1, Track #3 (distortion and silence from 2:47-2:50) and I'm only into the fourth track. Hopefully these are the only problems I'll encounter, but are you going to correct these and email purchasers when that happens? If not, the some type of partial refund should be due. This is the second of the three shows posted with known problems so far, and it is making me hesitant to make future purchases with this kind of quality control. I've not heard or talked to anyone that's heard the Cleveland 11/1 show yet, so I don't know if that one is okay, but it seems livesmashingpumpkins.com is off to an inauspicious start."
