- This new Deluxe Edition of Bluegrass Reunion (Acoustic Disc ACD-4) features David Grisman reuniting with the man that gave him his first hard-core bluegrass job, Red Allen. They are joined by bluegrass veterans Herb Pedersen, Jim Buchanan and DGQ bassist Jim Kerwin. Jerry Garcia recorded several tunes with the band, his first bluegrass performances since Old & in the Way. This set includes the original 15 tracks and two previously unissued tracks, featuring Garcia. Vassar Clements also appears on track 18.
This HD release presents this classic album in a sonically superior format. "These tracks are the closest sonic equivalents to the analog master tapes, sounding noticeably better than the original CD" says Dawg.
