Show Notes
It is our pleasure to bring you the largest collection of live music that EOTO has ever released in K-Turns & U-Turns Vol. 5: Best of 2012. For the first time, this collection spans four discs instead of three and includes 65 different songs recorded across the U.S. and Canada in 2012. Just like volumes 1-4, we have carefully placed each track and edited each disc to flow like a 2012 EOTO set. Listening straight through, gives the listener 300+ minutes and 4 full sets of uninterrupted EOTO-RAGE!
2012 was a monumental year for EOTO as we saw the introduction of the Lotus Stage and accompanying light show. Jason and Travis released 101 live recordings which included the release of over 1400 unique songs. Narrowing this mix down to 65 tracks was difficult to say the least, but we were able to capture all of the different genres, styles, and craziness that was created live in 2012.
Thank you to all of EOTO's dedicated fans for continuing to support the eotolive.com project! We have been going strong since 2008 and have released 564 live shows and 5 "Best of" compilations to date. If it weren't for your love of reliving the improvisational-magic that is created on stage by Jason and Travis each night, none of this would be possible.
Much love and hope you enjoy this mix to the fullest,
- Brian Cohn & Heath Byington
